Resolution Appointing Superintendent Of Highwayst Of Highways
At a Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,New York, on May 4,
2015.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by
Councilman Czarnecki.
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the Office of Superintendent of Highways of the Town
of Wappinger, Dutchess County,New York, by virtue of the resignation of Graham Foster, who
resigned as Superintendent of Highways effective April 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS,the term of Office of Superintendent of Highways expires on December 31,
2015; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law § 64(5), the Town Board, or the majority Members
thereof, are authorized to fill such vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term of the Office
of the Superintendent of Highways.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. Pursuant to the authority vested in the Town Board pursuant to Town Law §
64(5), Vincent F. Bettina, of and residing at 200 Osborne Hill Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York 12590, a duly qualified resident of the Town of Wappinger, is hereby appointed to fill the
vacancy existing in the Office of the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Wappinger.
3. Effective immediately, the Town Board hereby appoints Vincent F. Bettina to the
position of Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York,to fill the unexpired term of Graham Foster, which term ends December 31, 2015.
4. Upon appointment and the taking oath of office for the position of Superintendent
of Highways, Vincent F. Bettina shall be paid the salary approved for the Office of the
Superintendent of Highways for calendar year 2015, prorated from the date of appointment
through December 31, 2015.
5. Those Council Members voting in favor of such appointment shall hereby execute the
Certification of Appointment in the form attached hereto.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
