2015-210 2015-210 Resolution Awarding Bid To Connect Ten (10) Homes In The Chelsea Hamlet Area To United Wappinger Water District At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,New York, on September 29, 2015. Michael Kuzmicz Seconder Q ❑ ❑ ❑ The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Ciccarelli and seconded by Councilman Kuzmicz. WHEREAS,on July 13,2015,the Town Board authorized the Supervisor to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement between the City of New York and the Town of Wappinger for construction of a water supply and distribution system; and WHEREAS,the aforementioned Amendment No.2 required the Town to connect ten(10) parcels of property to the water supply and distribution system previously constructed by the Town pursuant to the original Agreement with the City of New York; and WHEREAS,by separate Resolution,the Town Board authorized the Engineer to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering and Surveying Consultants,PLLC,to go out to bid for the connection of said homes to the water supply and distribution system; and WHEREAS,bids were duly solicited for the work to be done and the following bids were received on August 12, 2015 as follows: Contractor Base Bid Alternate Bid Stoneykill Contracting $239,100 $11,400 Thomas Gleason,Inc. $290,000 $ 7,875 TAM Enterprises,Inc. $125,000 _ WHEREAS,by email dated September 24,2015 from Morris Associates Engineering and Surveying Consultants,PLLC (copy attached), it was determined that the lowest responsible bidder is TAM Enterprises,Inc.,with a base bid in the amount of$125,000; and WHEREAS,the Attorney to the Town was notified by email on September 24,2015 that aforementioned Amendment No.2 to the Agreement between the City of New York and the Town of Wappinger was registered on September 9,2015, as required by Section 328 of the New York City Charter. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the installation and interconnection of ten(10)homes to the United Wappinger Water District's central water supply to TAM Enterprises,Inc., with a base bid in the amount of$125,000. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications,the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by Morris Associates, including the Notice of Award and j Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to TAM Enterprises, Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that TAM Enterprises,Inc.,has duly executed the contract documents,has supplied the necessary Performance Bond,Payment Bond and provided insurance certificates all as otherwise specified by the bid specifications.
