2016-290 2016-290 Resolution Appointing Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 14, 2016. The meeting was called to order by Lori A. WHEREAS, as of October 7, 2016 a vacancy has existed in the position of Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector; and WHEREAS, the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources has established Job Class Specifications for the Civil Service Position of Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector which are annexed hereto; and WHEREAS, the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources has given a competitive examination and created and certified to the Town of Wappinger a current list of eligibles for the Title of Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has canvassed the certified eligible list for Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector and has determined that Brian Rexhouse, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, appears on said list and is reachable; and WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that Brian Rexhouse, meets the qualifications set forth in the annexed job specification; and WHEREAS, the position of a Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector is funded in the Fiscal Year 2016 Town Budget; and WHEREAS, the position of a Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and Teamsters Local 445 ("CBA"); and WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger requires the services of a Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector to conduct the business of the Building Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. Brian Rexhouse is hereby appointed to the permanent full time position of Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector for the Town of Wappinger, effective November 21st, 2016. 3. Brian Rexhouse shall be compensated at the hourly rate of$ 25.27 which shall be paid in weekly installments, in accordance with the CBA. 4. The appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. The appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
