Resolution Awarding Bid For Installation Of Retaining Wall At Martz Field Playground
At a Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 2, 2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Fenton and seconded by Councilman
Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, Steven Frazier, Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds, solicited proposals pursuant to the Town's
Procurement Policy for the installation of a low retaining wall around the new playground at Martz Field in order to keep
the required mulch from sliding downhill; and
WHEREAS,the following proposals were received:
Company Proposal
Lehigh Lawn& Landscaping, Inc., Wappingers Falls,NY S 6,600.00
T.G.P. Landscaping, Inc., Hughsonville,NY S 8,650.00
Red Cedar Arborists &Landscapers, Inc., Wappingers Falls,NY $10,000.00
WHEREAS,by email dated October 25, 2016, 2016, Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds, has determined and
recommended that the lowest responsible proposal is from Lehigh Lawn& Landscaping, Inc. with a proposal in the
amount of$6,600.00.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the installation of a retaining wall at the new
playground at Martz Field to Lehigh Lawn& Landscaping, Inc., Wappingers Falls,NY in the amount of$6,600.00.
The Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds and the Town Supervisor to prepare a voucher
for payment to Lehigh Lawn& Landscaping, Inc. and further authorizes the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds to notify
Lehigh Lawn& Landscaping, Inc. to proceed with the work in accordance with the received proposal, upon receipt,
review and approval of the required insurance coverage naming the Town of Wappinger as a primary non-contributory
additional insured.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
