Resolution Authorizing Purchase Of Tractor And Related Equipment For Buildings & Grounds

At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 24, 2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, Steven Frazier, Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds, has advised that his department is in
need of a tractor capable of using various attachments and accessories; and
WHEREAS, at the October 11, 2016 Board meeting, the Town Board authorized the Supervisor of
Buildings & Grounds to proceed with the purchase of said tractor and related equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds was able to locate the needed tractor and related
equipment through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), a municipal purchasing co-op previously
approved by the Town for municipal purchases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted
herein.
2. The Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds is hereby authorized to purchase a New Holland Model
Powerstar T4.75 Factory Cab and related equipment for the total sum of$60,034.00 as set forth in the General
Retail Purchase Orders and Security Agreements with Pine Plains Tractor & Equip., Inc., dated October 17,
2016, copies of which are affixed hereto, and in conjunction with the NJPA of which the Town of Wappinger is
a member, membership number 36830.
3. To fund this purchase, the proceeds from the recent sale of surplus vehicles, which totaled
$16,600.00, will be deposited in budget line A.0000.2665 "Sales of Equipment", resulting in the Town Board
amending the budget by increasing budget line A.0000.2665 by $16,600.00 and budget line A.7110.0212
"Equipment" by $16,600.00. In addition, the following budget transfers are hereby authorized to pay for the
costs associated with the purchase of above-referenced equipment:
