Resolution To Fill Vacancy In The Office Of Town Supervisor
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 4, 2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Ciccarelli and seconded by Councilman
Fenton.
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the Office of the Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, by virtue of the resignation of Greg Quinn, who resigned as Supervisor effective January 1,
2016.; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law § 64(5), the Town Board, or the majority Members thereof, are
authorized to fill such vacancy for the remainder of calendar year 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. Pursuant to the authority vested in the Town Board pursuant to Town Law
§ 64(5), Lori A. Jiava, Of and residing at 19 Patti Place, Wappingers Falls, New York, a duly qualified resident
of the Town of Wappinger, is hereby appointed to fill the vacancy existing in the Office of the Supervisor of the
Town of Wappinger. This appointment is effective January 4th, 2016 and the said Supervisor Lori A. Jiava,
Shall hold office until December 31, 2016.
3. Those Council Members voting in favor of such appointment shall hereby execute the
Certification of Appointment in the form attached hereto.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
