Resolution Awarding Bid For Framing Work To Facilitate Installation Of Automatic Fire Door (Won
Door) At Town Hall
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 11, 2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman Ciccarelli.
WHEREAS,Engineer to the Town, Robert J. Gray,P.E. of Morris Associates Engineering & Surveying
Consultants, PLLC, solicited proposals through a Request for Proposals (RFP) dated December 2015,pursuant to the
Town's Procurement Policy, for the framing work to facilitate the installation of an automatic fire door(Won Door) at
Town Hall; and
WHEREAS,the following proposals were received:
Company Proposal
Transitional Builders, Inc.,Poughkeepsie,NY S 7,455.00
Boice Builders, Staatsburg,NY S 9,750.00
One Way Construction Services, Inc., West Hurley,NY $18,322.00
WHEREAS,by letter dated January 8, 2016, Engineer to the Town, Robert J. Gray,P.E.,has determined and
recommended that the lowest responsible proposal is from Transitional Builders, Inc. with a proposal in the amount of
$7,455.00.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
I. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the framing work to facilitate the installation of an
automatic fire door(Won Door) at Town Hall to Transitional Builders, Inc.,Poughkeepsie,NY in the amount of
$7,455.00.
The Town Board hereby authorizes the Engineer to the Town, Robert J. Gray, P.E. and the Supervisor to the Town to
prepare a voucher for payment to Transitional Builders, Inc. and further authorizes the Engineer to the Town, Robert J.
Gray,P.E. to notify Transitional Builders, Inc. to proceed with the work in accordance with the RFP and received
proposal.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
