Resolution Approving Machinery And Equipment Rental Rates For Use By The Highway Department
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 25, 2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman
Fenton.
WHEREAS,pursuant to §143 of the Highway Law, Highway Superintendent, Vincent F. Bettina, has
negotiated and procured machinery and equipment rental rates for use by the Highway Department from Clove
Excavators, Inc., B & K Excavation, Inc. and Avello Brothers Paving Contractors, Inc. for calendar year 2016; and
WHEREAS, the machinery and equipment rental rates, including operator, are itemized and identified in a
pertain email dated January 11, 2016 from Karol Kelly, Secretary of the Highway Department, a copy of which is
affixed hereto; and
WHEREAS, the machinery and equipment rental rates, including operator,procured by the Highway
Superintendent are not subject to competitive bidding but are subject to Town Board approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein.
The Town Board hereby approves the machinery and equipment rental rates procured from Clove Excavators,
Inc., B & K Excavation, Inc. and Avello Brothers Paving Contractors, Inc., for calendar year 2016, as set forth,
itemized and identified by email dated January 11, 2016 from Karol Kelly, Secretary of the Highway
Department, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
