2016-184 2016-184 Workplace Violence Prevention Act Compliance Measures At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 23, 2016. The meeting was called to order by Lori A. It is hereby moved that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger shall require all employees of the Highway Department,including the Highway Superintendent and Secretary to the Highway Superintendent to attend the following mandatory training set forth by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger: Workplace Violence Prevention Act Training; Further Resolved,that three sessions will be scheduled allowing for each employee to attend the training without disrupting town highway department operations; Further Resolved,that all town highway department employees must complete Workplace Violence Prevention Act training no later than June 30, 2016 or face appropriate action by this town board; Further Resolved,that the Highway Superintendent is hereby directed to post the Workplace Violence Prevention Act conspicuously in the Highway garage; Further Resolved,that a liaison committee of two councilmembers will monitor whether steps are undertaken to ensure efficient labor management conditions; Further Resolved,that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby appoint Councilman John Fenton and Councilman William Beale to serve as a liaison committee to the Highway Department; Further Resolved,that Supervisor to the Town Lori Jiava be appointed Workplace Violence Prevention Act Officer.
