Resolution Awarding Bid For Carnwath Carriage House Roof Repair
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 14,
2016.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Ciccarelli and seconded by
Councilman Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering & Surveying
Consultants, PLLC, solicited written quotes through a"Proposal Request for the Town of
Wappinger General Construction Roof Repair at Carnwath Park Carriage House" dated February
2016; and
WHEREAS, the following written quotes were received on February 24, 2016:

Vanguard Organization, Inc., Wappingers Falls, NY $26,274.00
Precision Roofing, Inc., Southfields, NY $47,400.00
WHEREAS, by letter dated February 25, 2016 from Morris Associates Engineering &
Surveying Consultants, PLLC, by Robert J. Gray, P.E., Engineer to the Town, he determined that
the lowest responsible bid quote was from Vanguard Organization, Inc., Wappingers Falls, NY
with a written quote in the amount of$26,274.00; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to award the bid in accordance with the
recommendation of Robert J. Gray, P.E., a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the Carnwath Carriage House
roof repair to Vanguard Organization, Inc., Wappingers Falls, NY in the bid amount of
$26,274.00 in accordance with the letter recommendation of Robert J. Gray, P.E. dated February
25, 2016, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
In accordance with the specifications in the above-described Proposal Request, the Town Board
hereby authorizes the Supervisor to execute any contract documents, including the Notice of
Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Vanguard Organization, Inc., after the
Attorney to the Town has confirmed that Vanguard Organization, Inc. has duly executed the
required contract documents and has supplied the necessary insurance certificates.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
