Resolution Establishing Office of Town Comptroller
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 9, 2017.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger has authority pursuant to Town Law §20(3)(b)
to establish the office of Town Comptroller.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby establishes the office of
Comptroller of the Town of Wappinger; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the authority and duties of the Comptroller of the Town of
Wappinger shall include all authority and duties conferred under § 34 of the Town Law, and such other
authority and duties as may be specifically conferred from time to time by further local law or resolution of the
Town Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the term of office of the Comptroller of the Town of Wappinger
is governed by Town Law §20(3)(b); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the annual salary of the Comptroller of the Town of Wappinger shall
be in such amount as may be established from time to time by resolution of the Town Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor, or her designee, is authorized to complete
and file with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources all paperwork required by that office in
connection with this appointment.
