Resolution Awarding Bid For Emergency Services Building
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 10, 2017.
The meeting was called to order by Lori A. Jiava, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilman Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS,the Town Board authorized the Engineer to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering and
Surveying Consultants, PLLC, to solicit bids for the Emergency Services Building Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS,bids and specifications were prepared by Morris Associates, Engineers to the Town, for the work
required for the Emergency Services Building Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS,bids were duly solicited for the work to be done and the following bids were received on September
25, 2017:

WHEREAS,by letter dated October 4, 2017 from Morris Associates Engineering & Surveying Consultants,
PLLC, Engineers to the Town, it was determined that the lowest responsible bidders are as follows:
A. General Construction Contract-J.C. Millbank Construction Co., Inc. and recommends that J.C. Millbank
Construction Co., Inc. be awarded the General Construction Contract in the base amount of$450,600,
including Alternate 91 bid amount of$48,300, Alternate 92 bid amount of$12,000 and Alternate 93 bid
amount of$52,600, for a total bid amount of$563,500;
B. HVAC Construction Contract-DJ Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. and recommends that DJ Heating & Air
Conditioning, Inc. be awarded the HVAC Construction Contract in the amount of$779,130;
C. Electrical Construction Contract- A.G.V. Electrical Contracting, LLC and recommends that A.G.V. Electrical
Contracting, LLC be awarded the Electrical Construction Contract in the amount of$243,305; and
D. Plumbing Construction Contract- C. McGovern Plumbing Corp. and recommends that C. McGovern
Plumbing Corp. be awarded the Plumbing Construction Contract in the amount of$69,452,
all as set forth in the aforementioned recommendation letter, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby awards the bids for the Emergency Services Building Renovation Project to the
following lowest responsible bidders:
A. General Construction Contract-J.C. Millbank Construction Co., Inc. and recommends that J.C. Millbank
Construction Co., Inc. be awarded the General Construction Contract in the base amount of$450,600,
including Alternate 91 bid amount of$48,300, Alternate 92 bid amount of$12,000 and Alternate 93 bid
amount of$52,600, for a total bid amount of$563,500;
B. HVAC Construction Contract-DJ Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. and recommends that DJ Heating & Air
Conditioning, Inc. be awarded the HVAC Construction Contract in the amount of$779,130;
C. Electrical Construction Contract- A.G.V. Electrical Contracting, LLC and recommends that A.G.V. Electrical
Contracting, LLC be awarded the Electrical Construction Contract in the amount of$243,305; and
D. Plumbing Construction Contract- C. McGovern Plumbing Corp. and recommends that C. McGovern
Plumbing Corp. be awarded the Plumbing Construction Contract in the amount of$69,452.
3. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to execute
the contract documents as prepared by Morris Associates, including the Notices of Award and Notices to Proceed and
forward a copy to each of the aforementioned contractors, after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that each of the
aforementioned contractors has duly executed the required contract documents, has supplied the necessary Performance
Bonds, Payment Bonds and provided insurance certificates all as otherwise required by the bid specifications for each of
the aforementioned Contracts.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
