The bid remelts summaries from 'the Clerk are attached for your reference, Our office has reviewed ail of the bids received for the project. The bid documents appear to be properly prepared by each of the apparent low bidders. J.C. Milbank ConStRIction Co., Inc. is the apparent low bidder for the General Construction work, with a base bid of $450,600, Add Aiternate #1 bid of $48,300 (for window replacements), Add Alternate #2 bid of $12,000 (for the sidewalk replacements) and Add Alternate #3 bid of $52,600 (for gutters and roof drain piping). Our office has worked with J.C. WlIbank in the recent past on several comparable projects and found their work satisfactory. Therefor our office believes that J.C. Millbank is capable of performing the work required by this contract, Our office recommends the General Construction contract for this project be awarded to J.C. Milbank Construction Co., Inc. for the base bid plus all three add alternates, -for a total of $563,500. DJ Heating & Air Conditioning, lnc. is the apparent low bidder for the HVAC Construction work, with a total bid of $779,130. Our office recommends the HVAC Construction contract for this project be awarded to DJ Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc, -for $779,130. A.G.V, Electrical Contracting, LLC is the apparent low bidder for the Electrical Construction work, with a total bid of $243,305. Although our office has not worked with A.G.V. before, we did call the references provided. Many of the references were from school renovations for Westchester County School Districts and we only received positive responses -from the contact made with the references. Based on the responsibility docunnents reviewed by our office, we believe A.G,V. Electrical Contracting, LILC. is capable of performing the work required by this contract. Our office recommends the Electrical Construction contract for this project be awarded to A,G,\/, Electrical Contracting, LLC. for $243,305. C. McGovern Plumbing Corp. is the apparent low bidder for the Plumbing Construction work, with a total bid of $69,45 . Although our office has not worked with C. McGovern before, we did call the references provided. Many of the references were from renovations for Westchester County DPW and we orily received positive responses from the contact made with the references provided. We also interviewed this contractor to confirm that he has a firm understanding of the project scope, given the significant- difference in cost between his bid and the next highest bidder. Based on the responsibility documents reviewed by our office and other information gathered cludng our interview, we believe C. McGovern Plumbing Corp. is capable of performing the work required by this cor"itract. The only question that rernains on this contractor is the determination on his exemption for paying himself prevailing Wages, We have asked the Town attorney to confirm the legality of the exemption and currently await his determination. Pending the Town Attorney's input, OUr office, recommends the Plumbing Construction contract for this project be awarded to C,. McGovern RUmbing Corp. for $69,452. If the Town Board votes to award all four consLrUction contracts to the apparent low bidders, as per our recomrTienclations, the total costs for all four contracts is anticipated Lob�elQQ5 . . Our office has reviewed this cost to compare it to the estiM2ted costs for the project established in December 2016 and found the total to be slightly less than our construction estirriates. Please have this matter added to the agenda for the next board meeting for the Board to vote to award the work to the four above referenced contractors. Upon the vote to award the contracts to these contractors, this office will prepare the Notices of Award for the Town and coordinate the execution of the contracts, with the assistance of the Town Attorney.
