Resolution Acknowledging The Deputy Town Clerk To The Town Of Wappinger as an Exempt/Non
Union Employee
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 3, 2018.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Johnston and seconded by Councilman
Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, the Town Clerk is authorized to appoint a Deputy Town Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Joseph P. Paoloni, Town Clerk of the Town of Wappinger, has elected to appoint Grace Robinson
as his Deputy Town Clerk at the beginning of his 4 year term in 2015.
WHEREAS, Resolution 2012-333, Ratified a Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the Town of
Wappinger and Teamsters Union Number 445, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, on Behalf of the Town
Hall Employees.
WHEREAS, The Deputy Town Clerk is defined as an Exempt Position and should not have been included in the
Teamsters Local 445 Union. in the CBA Ratified on December 10, 2012
WHEREAS, The Deputy Town Clerk does not desire to recoup union dues paid since her Employment Date of
September 8th 2014.
WHEREAS, The Deputy Town Clerk does not desire to remain in the Teamsters Local 445 Union.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted
herein.
2. The Town Board acknowledges the removal of Grace Robinson from the Teamsters Local 445.
3. The Town Board directs Comptroller Fredrick Awino to adjust her periodic paycheck to exclude
the deduction of Union Dues.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
