Resolution Authorizing Recreation Director To Initiate Request For Proposals For Operation Of
Carnival, Rides, Concessions And Amusements For Town Of Wappinger Community Day
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 8, 2018.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman
Johnston.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Recreation Department sponsors the Town of Wappinger
Community Day; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board previously authorized the use of Schlathaus Park for the 43rd Annual
Town of Wappinger Community Day which is to be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Community Day consists of a carnival which includes rides,
games and concessions; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Director is authorized and directed to initiate the Request for Proposals to
provide such carnival activities which includes rides, games and concessions, including the posting of legal
notices requesting such services in the Town's official newspapers, the Poughkeepsie Journal and the Southern
Dutchess News; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Director is directed to initiate the Request for Proposals so that responses
will be returned to the Town no later than February 12, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted
herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Recreation Director to initiate the Request for
Proposals to provide such carnival activities which includes rides, games and concessions, including the posting
of legal notices requesting such services in the Town's official newspapers, the Poughkeepsie Journal and the
Southern Dutchess News.
The Town Board hereby directs the Recreation Director to initiate the Request for Proposals so that responses
will be returned to the Town no later than February 12, 2018.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
