RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE NAMING OF
HILLCREST COURT
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,, New York, on the27th
day of October, 2003, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmen - Robert L. Valdati
Vincent F. Bettina

ABSENT: Joseph Paoloni
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Colsey and seconded by
Mr. Bettina
WHEREAS,John Goetz has requested that private road in the Keenan Acres
Subdivision be named to Hillcrest Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby names private road for the Keenan Acres Subdivision
Hillcrest Court in accordance with the written request dated October 27, 2003 from John Goetz
to Hon. Joseph Ruggiero.

3. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Dutchess County Enhanced 9-1-1
program of said road name change.

Ree Keenan Acres Subdivision: Road name approval
Dear Supervisor Ruggiero and Board Members:
At the request of Mid Hudson Development, Mark Lieberman (Fire Inspector Town of Wappinger)
submitted three road names to Dutchess County Enhanced 911(Department of emergency Response)
for their approval.
Dutchess county 911 has since sent a letter to the Town dated 1019103. (Which 1 am submitting along
with this memo) In their letter, Dutchess County 911 has approved only, (Hillcrest Court) one of the
three names submitted.
We ask that the Board pass a resolution approving Hillcrest Court as the new road name for the
Keenan Acres Subdivision. Our project cannot proceed forward until a name is approved.We ask to be
placed on the next possible Town Board Agenda.

Mid Hudson Development proposes the-following road name for the Keenan Acres
Subdivision(File Map# 11610). These names are in order of preference:
1. Hillcrest'Court
2. Fountain View Road
3. Sunset Ridge Road
Please take these names into consideration. We would like to be scheduled on the next
available Town Board Meeting for the approval of the new road name.

This office has been contacted by Mid Hudson Development in regards to a name for the•
new street in the Keenan Acres subdivision. We have reviewed the proposed road names that
were provided and we have found conflicts with the names Mountain View Rd and Sunset Ridge
Rd.We also reviewed Hillcrest Ct and have found no conflicts with this road name.
