2018-1392018-139 Authorizing Transfer Of Funds For 2018 Permanent Paving Work At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 30, 2018. Beale Mover Q ❑ ❑ ❑ ❑ Tabled Angela Bettina Voter Q ❑ ❑ ❑ ❑ Withdrawn Robert Johnston Voter Q ❑ ❑ ❑ Michael Kuzmicz Seconder Q ❑ ❑ ❑ WHEREAS, the Town Superintendent of Highways and the Town Board have agreed that it is appropriate for the Town of Wappinger to repave 7.27 miles of Town Highways in Fiscal Year 2018; and WHEREAS, in a memo dated May 8, 2018, the Town Superintendent of Highways provided an estimate that was prepared with the assistance of the Engineer to the Town which concluded that cost for resurfacing 7.27 miles of Town Highways would cost $ 1,835,702.45; and WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller advised that there is $624,320 currently budgeted for permanent paving work so $1,211,382.45 in additional funding is required to resurface all 7.27 miles of roads; and WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller advised that $500,000 is available in the unallocated B Fund balance which can be transferred for Highway Purposes because the funds have the same taxpayer base; and WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller has advised that the remaining $712,000 should be raised by the issuance of serial bonds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the following budget transfer for the 2018 permanent paving work AmountFrom Line To Line $500,000.00 B0915 Unallocated Fund Balance DB 5112.400 Perm Improvement, Contract Expenditure 2. The Town Board authorizes its bond counsel to prepare the appropriate resolutions for the issuance of serial bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,600,000 for permanent paving work for fiscal year(s) 2018 and 2019.
