Motion To: Open Hearing on Adopting the 2019 Budget Lou DiCocco appeared before the board. He handed out a statement to the town board, but gave nothing to the town clerk for filing or recording in the minutes. He applauded a team effort by the board. He said, "With regard to the 911 patio, it is something we could be proud of." He gave them an award. He said that everything his organization does is for the beautification of our town. The town received the first of 6 awards. Attorney Horan explained that once the revenue was levied by the town from the taxpavers the expenses have no effect on the tax levv. Motion To: Close Public Hearing IV RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Michael Kuzmicz, Councilman SECONDER: Robert Johnston, Councilman AYES: Thurston, Beale, Bettina, Johnston, Kuzmicz Resolutions RESOLUTION: 2018-259 Resolution Adopting Annual Budget For Fiscal Year 2019 WHEREAS, on November 1, 2018, the Town Board, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Section 106 of the Town Law and other applicable provisions of law, accepted the Preliminary Budget, by Resolution No. 2018-248; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 2018-248, a Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget was held on November 7, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and all parties in attendance were permitted an opportunity to speak on behalf or in opposition to the proposed Annual Budget for the fiscal year 2019; and WHEREAS, the Town Board has taken into consideration the comments made by the public at the Public Hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. Pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Section 109 of the Town Law and other applicable provisions of law, the annexed detailed statement of expenditures and revenues of the Town of Wappinger is hereby approved and adopted as the Annual Budget of the Town of Wappinger for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2019. 3. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to enter the Annual Budget adopted herein in the minutes of the Town Board. The Town Board further directs that the amounts identified in the Annual Budget adopted herein shall be appropriated.
