Resolution Acknowledging Appointment Of Deputy Town Clerk
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on
January 7, 2019.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Johnston and seconded by
Councilman Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, the Town Clerk is authorized to appoint three Deputy Town Clerks; and
WHEREAS, Joseph P. Paoloni, Town Clerk of the Town of Wappinger, has elected to appoint
Cooper M. Leatherwood as his Second Deputy Town Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board acknowledges the appointment of Cooper M. Leatherwood as
Deputy Town Clerk by Joseph P. Paoloni, Town Clerk of the Town of Wappinger.
The Town Board hereby establishes the salary of the Deputy Town Clerk as set forth in the
adopted 2019 budget effective January 1, 2019 to be paid in 52 weekly installments retroactive to
and commencing on January 1, 2019.
3. The Town Board hereby delegates to the Town Clerk the authority to assign the
duties of the second Deputy Town Clerk.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
