Based on a field visit at Carnwath, Farms with Supervisor Colsey, Vincent Bettina
and Town Clerk Chris Masterson, I enclose six (6) copies of a map showing a proposed
Dog Park at the Carnwath Farms Facility.
The area is proposed to the, west of the sports museum in a cleared area, which is,
utilized for the sewage disposal system. There are several manholes in the area that are
in need of repair. This work is being coordinated with CAMO and the Town Highway
Department.
The area for the dog park is approximately 280'x 125' and will be fenced with a 48"
high chain link fence. There is an 8' utility access gate shown to be used for mowing and
maintenance purposes. Two other self closing gates are shown for pedestrian and dog
access. In addition, two 6' park benches are proposed, as well as a plastic bag dispenser
and trash barrel:. A 4' wide bark chip path is proposed between the parking lot immediately
north of the mansion and the proposed dog park.
We have solicited proposals from three fence companies to provide quotes for the
installation of the fence.
We look forward to discussing this with you at the next Town Board meeting.
