Resolution Authorizing Intermunicipal Water Supply And Transmission Agreement
Between The Village Of Wappingers Falls And The Town Of Wappinger On Behalf Of The
United Wappinger Water District
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 8,
2019.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by
Councilman Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger and the Village of Wappingers Falls previously
entered into an Intermunicipal Agreement to authorize of the connection of certain water and
sewer customers located in the adjoining municipality to their water and sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, the Town and Village have investigated the feasibility of creating an
interconnection between the Village of Wappingers Falls Water System and the United
Wappinger Water District that would enable the supply of water from one system to the other in
the case of an emergency; and
WHEREAS, the Town and Village have investigated the feasibility of connecting the
Woodhill Green Condominiums to the Village of Wappingers Falls Water System; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger as lead agency under SEQRA issued negative
declarations for these projects; and
WHEREAS, the Town and Village wish to enter into an Intermunicipal Water Supply and
Transmission Agreement that will accommodate these new projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes an
Intermunicipal Water Supply and Transmission Agreement between the Village of Wappingers
Falls and the Town of Wappinger on behalf of the United Wappinger Water District; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to
sign the annexed Intermunicipal Water Supply and Transmission Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
