Resolution Accepting Map, Plan & Report For Wildwood Sewer District Connection To
Village Of Wappingers Falls Sewer System
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January
27, 2020.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by
Councilwoman Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Wildwood Sewer District operates a wastewater treatment plant which does not
meet the permitting requirements of NYS DEC under the Clean Water Act and must be replaced;
and
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, CPL, prepared a Map, Plan and Report to remove the
existing wastewater treatment plant and transmit the wastewater collected in the Wildwood Sewer
District through a combination of force main and gravity main to the Village of Wappingers Falls
Sewer System; and
WHEREAS, the sewer transmission system is being designed with excess capacity so as to have the
ability of Woodhill Green and other future customers to connect to the sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town has estimated the maximum cost of the mains, pump
station, incidental improvements and expenses in connection with the project at $5,566,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board previously determined that the project was an Unlisted Action under
SEQR and issued a Negative Declaration for this project on September 5, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board, by separate Resolution, intends to schedule a Public Hearing in
accordance with Section 202-b of the Town Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
The Town Board hereby accepts the Map, Plan and Report for Wildwood Sewer District
Connection to Tri-Municipal prepared by CPL dated January 16, 2020, a copy of which is affixed
hereto.
The Town Board hereby directs the Town Clerk to file in her office the Map, Plan and Report in
accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the Town Law.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
