2020-68 2020-68 Resolution Appointing a Water Meter Reader for the Town of Wappinger At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February 24, 2020. The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following was recorded:  Vote Record - Resolution RES-2020-68 Yes/Aye No/Nay Abstain Absent Adopted  Richard Thurston Voter     Adopted as Amended  William H. Beale Voter      Defeated Angela Bettina Seconder     Tabled  Christopher Phillips Mover     Withdrawn  Al Casella Voter     The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Councilwoman Bettina. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger employs Water Meter Readers for the purpose of residential collection of water meter usage data; and WHEREAS, Tubin “Joe” Dauzat is hereby appointed Water Meter Reader for the Town of Wappinger in accordance with the compensation enumerated within the Town of Wappinger Budget for Fiscal Year 2020. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby confirms the appointment of Joseph Dauzat as Water Meter Reader for the Town of Wappinger; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for calendar year 2020, the remuneration for Town of Wappinger Water Meter Readers is hereby established at the rate of $1.30 per manual meter read and $0.65 per radio meter read, until further action of the Town Board; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the calendar year 2020, the remuneration for Town of Wappinger Water Meter Readers for Repair and Maintenance of meters is hereby established at the rate of $13.00 per hour, until further action of the Town Board; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment to the Water Meter Reader shall be in accordance with the number of water meters read and repaired and the Town Supervisor is authorized and empowered to pay the Water Meter Reader upon proof of the number of water meters read and repaired as confirmed by the Town of Accountant.
