Resolution Authorizing Supervisor And Town Comptroller To Create a Fema Grant Account And
Submit An Application For A Covid-19 Grant
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 13, 2020.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilman Phillips.
WHEREAS, the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) program has been made available to reimburse eligible
expenses incurred by state and local governments related to the COVID-19 outbreak; and
WHEREAS, the nature and scale of this national Covid-19 emergency is beyond anything the
emergency management community has seen, FEMA is allowing applicants to apply for assistance in the PA
Grants Portal; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger desires to create a FEMA Grant Account and submit an
application for a COVID-19 Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED;
1. The Town Supervisor and the Town Comptroller are hereby authorized to create a FEMA Grant
Account and submit an application for a Covid-19 Grant on behalf of the Town of Wappinger.
2. The Town Supervisor and the Town Comptroller are further authorized to accept any grant funds
that are received, if the application is approved, and apply the grant funds received to the appropriate
funds in accordance with the generally accepted governmental accounting principles and the
guidelines of the Office of the State Comptroller.
3. All Department heads are directed to cooperate with the Town Comptroller to determine the eligible
expenses of the Town.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
