Resolution Authorizing Purchase Of Municity Software Upgrade
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 13, 2020.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger uses Municity Software to process applications for building and zoning
permits and to maintain the records of those departments of the Town; and
WHEREAS, the current server-based software application is not compatible with the operating systems of Town
computers and needs to be upgraded to the newest edition; and
WHEREAS, upgrading the existing software is not subject to competitive bidding as standardization of the
software systems of the Town is required; and
WHEREAS, the Town has received a proposal from Software Consulting Associates to upgrade the Municity
Software at a cost of $20,000 for the current fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator has advised that this upgrade is essential for the functioning of the Building
and Zoning Departments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the purchase of the Municity Upgrade from Software Consulting
Associates at a cost of $20,000.
2. Payments under the contract shall be paid on vouchers submitted and reviewed as required by law.
