Resolution Awarding Contract For HVAC Maintenance
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 11,
2020.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by
Casella.
WHEREAS, the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems in Town Hall and the
Emergency Services Building have been recently replaced; and
WHEREAS, the HVAC Systems in Town Hall and the Emergency Services Building contain 28
pieces of equipment which need to be maintained regularly; and
WHEREAS, regular maintenance and repairs of the HVAC systems are required to insure the
proper operation of the equipment and preserve its useful life; and
WHEREAS, the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA Sourcewell) established a competitively bid
Request for Proposals for the service of HVAC systems under Request for Proposal #030817; and
WHEREAS, Johnson Controls, Inc. (“JCI”) was awarded a contract under the RFP; and
WHEREAS, JCI provided the Town of Wappinger with a contract proposal which is attached
hereto which provides for scheduled maintenance for the equipment at a cost of $25,115.00 per
year; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds and the Town Attorney have reviewed the
contract and agree that it is appropriate for the Town to enter
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes a three-year service contract with Johnson Controls, Inc.
in accordance with the terms of the contract attached hereto and directs the Supervisor to
execute the contract documents on behalf of the Town of Wappinger; and
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the following budget transfer:

increased to $25,115.00)
3. The fully executed copy of the contract shall be provided to the Town Clerk for filing in his
records.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
