Resolution Adopting Town Of Wappinger Covid-19 Telecommuting Policy
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 11, 2021.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is committed to the health and safety of our employees and residents in this
time of pandemic; and
WHEREAS, allowing Town staff to work remotely creates social distancing in the workplace while still maintaining
the delivery of services to the taxpayers; and
WHEREAS, when Town employees telecommute it is important to maintain time and attendance records to
comply with applicable state and federal laws as well as establishing accountability for suitable work performance;
and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the Town to adopt a COVID-19
Telecommuting Policy to set forth the applicable procedures and expectations for telecommuting during this public
health emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The Town Board hereby adopts the Town of Wappinger COVID-19 Telecommuting Policy which is
annexed hereto and shall be made a part of the minutes of this Meeting.
2. The Town Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution together with the annexed COVID-19
Telecommuting Policy.
3. The Town Board directs that every employee of the Town shall be provided with a copy of the Town of
Wappinger COVID-19 Telecommuting Policy and they shall sign a form that they have received and
reviewed a copy of said policy.
4. The Town of Wappinger COVID-19 Telecommuting Policy shall take effect immediately and may be
amended by resolution of the Town Board.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
