Resolution Awarding Demolition Contract For Rockingham Park Pump Building And
Asbestos Abatement
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 26,
2021.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilwoman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Town Board authorized the Engineer to the Town to prepare bid specifications
and contract documents for the Asbestos Abatement and Demolition for the Rockingham Park
Pump Building; and
WHEREAS, the contract documents and bid information were duly advertised and bids were
solicited for the work to be done and one bid was received by the Town Clerk and publicly opened
on July 22, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:
Contractor Base Bid
Jupiter Environmental Services, Inc. $36,900.00
WHEREAS, by letter dated July ___, 2021, the Engineers to the Town advised that the lowest
bidder Jupiter Environmental Services, Inc. has submitted a bid that conforms to the contract
documents; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town has investigated the contracting history of Jupiter
Environmental Services, Inc. and determines that it is a responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town recommends that the Town Board should award the
contract to Jupiter Environmental Services, Inc. in the total contract amount of $36,900 all as set
forth in the aforementioned recommendation letter, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the CONTRACT FOR DEMOLITION
CONTRACT FOR ROCKINGHAM PARK PUMP BUILDING AND ASBESTOS
ABATEMENT to Jupiter Environmental Services, Inc., 323 Changebridge Rd, Suite 100,
Pine Brook, NJ 07058 in the amount of $36,900.00.
2. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby authorizes the
Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by the Engineers to the Town
including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Jupiter
Environmental Services, Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that Jupiter
Environmental Services, Inc. has duly executed the contract documents, has supplied the
necessary Performance Bond, Payment Bond and provided insurance certificates as required
by the bid specifications.
3. This project shall be funded from the United Wappinger Water District Fund Balance.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
