Resolution To Adjust Town Of Wappinger Mileage Reimbursement Rates For 2022
At a Reorganization Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on
January 10, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Thurston and seconded by
Casella.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law §116(1), the Town of Wappinger compensates
employees for the use of the employee’s personal vehicle whenever the employee utilizes such
personal vehicle for Town business; and
WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service has established the allowable reimbursement
rate for 2022 at the rate of $0.58.5 per mile for business miles driven; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby establishes and authorizes the
allowable mileage reimbursement rate to a Town employee at $0.58.5 per mile for business miles
driven whenever a Town employee uses his/her personal vehicle for Town business, effective
January 1, 2022; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this rate shall remain in effect until modified by
further Town Board Resolution.
