Resolution Approving Contract For Bridge Removal
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 25, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilwoman Bettina.
WHEREAS, there is a bridge over a stream in Reese Park that has been damaged by storms and needs to be
removed and replaced and the Town lacks the necessary equipment; and
WHEREAS, the damaged bridge should be removed as soon as possible in the interest of safety of park visitors;
and
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town obtained a quote from Clove Excavators,Inc. to remove the bridge which
is below the threshold for competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, and the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds agree that it is appropriate
for the Town to enter into a contract with Clove Excavators, Inc. to remove the bridge as outlined in the quote;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes a contract with Clove Excavators,Inc. in the amount of$3,430.00 in
accordance with the terms of the proposal attached hereto and directs the Supervisor to execute the contract
documents on behalf of the Town of Wappinger and send a notice to proceed to the contractor; and
2. The following budget transfer is authorized to fund this contract:

3. The fully executed copy of the contract shall be provided to the Town Clerk for filing in his records.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
