2022-96 2022-96 Resolution Approving Contract For Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity It Equipment At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 25, 2022. WHEREAS, natural disasters, computer viruses, user error, ransomware and other cyberthreats have a potential to disrupt or halt the functions of the Town of Wappinger by damaging the information technology systems of the Town of Wappinger; and WHEREAS, the Office of the State Comptroller recommends that municipalities implement disaster recovery and business continuity systems to enable the municipality to respond quickly to cyberattacks to continue to provide services to the public; and WHEREAS, the Town's Information Technology consultant has reviewed several options and has suggested that the Town select a disaster recovery/business continuity appliance with cloud storage supplied by Roberts IT Consulting, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Town Board has reviewed the Roberts IT Consulting proposal and compared it with other options and determine that the Roberts IT Consulting system meets the needs of the Town; and WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that it is appropriate to enter into a contract with Roberts IT Consulting for disaster recovery and business continuity services; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that: 1. The Town Board hereby authorizes a contract with Roberts IT Consulting, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $20,000 in accordance with the terms of the contract attached hereto and directs the Supervisor to execute the contract documents on behalf of the Town of Wappinger and send a notice to proceed to the contractor; and 2. The following budget transfer is authorized to fund this contract: Increase Increase Line To Line Amount $4,000 A0917 Unallocated Fund Balance A.1680.0400 Central Data Contractual 3. The fully executed copy of the contract shall be provided to the Town Clerk for filing in his records.
