Resolution Authorizing Preparation Of Competitive Bidding Specification For Fencing At Robinson
Lane Fields
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 9, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the
following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilwoman Bettina.
WHEREAS, new fences are required at Fields SL2, I-2, R2 and R3 at the Robinson Lane Baseball Complex to
protect players and the public; and
WHEREAS, fencing is also required at two dugouts to protect the players and coaches; and
WHEREAS, the cost to replace the fencing will likely exceed$35,000 so the preparation of competitive bid
specifications for the work is required;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that:
1. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Engineer to the Town to prepare the bid specifications for the
fencing work and solicit bids for the fence installation work pursuant to General Municipal Law §103.
2. After the bids are received and opened by the Town Clerk, the Engineer to the Town is directed to review
the bids and make a recommendation to the Town Board as to the lowest responsible bidder.
3. The Engineers to the Town are also authorized to investigate as to whether the fence installation may be
contracted through state bid, county bid or a piggyback contract that the Town may utilize in lieu of
competitive bidding.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
