Resolution Adjusting Mileage Rate For Use Of Personal Vehicle
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on June 13,
2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Bettina and seconded by
Casella.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law §116(1), the Town of Wappinger compensates employees for
the use of the employee’s personal vehicle whenever the employee utilizes such personal vehicle for
Town business; and
WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service has established a new reimbursement rate beginning on
July 1, 2022, at the rate of $0.625 per mile for business miles driven.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby establishes and authorizes
the allowable mileage reimbursement rate to a Town employee at $0.625 per mile for business miles
driven whenever a Town employee uses his/her personal vehicle for Town business, effective July 1,
2022; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this rate shall remain in effect until modified by further Town
Board Resolution.
