Resolution Awarding Contract For Fence Replacement At Robinson Lane Fields
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October
24, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Richard Thurston, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilman
Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town Board authorized the Engineer to the Town to prepare bid
specifications and contract documents for the replacement of baseball field fences at Robinson Lane
Park; and
WHEREAS, bids were duly advertised and solicited for the work to be done and the
following bids were received and open d b T the Town Clerk on October 14, 2022; and

WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town has advised that the bid of Giacorp Contracting
Inc. is a conforming bid and that they are a responsible bidder with a satisfactory history of working
on similar projects; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer to the Town recommends that the Town Board should award
the contract to Giacorp Contracting Inc. with all of such bid alternatives that the Town Board
determines appropriate based on funds available and existing fencing conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town of Wappinger hereby determines that the contract for the replacement of
fences at Robison Lane Fields shall include Alternates
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the public works project Robinson Lane
Park, New Baseball Field Fences Project,including Alternates to Giacorp Contracting
Inc. in the amount of$
3. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby
authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by the Engineers to the
Town including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Giacorp
Contracting Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that the contractors have duly
executed the contract documents and supplied the necessary Performance Bond, Payment Bond and
provided insurance certificates as required by the bid specifications.
4. Funding for this project shall be appropriated from bond proceeds that have been
approved for the project.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

in the amount of$ 68,564 adding the base of$26,400 for a total of$94,964.
3. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby
authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by the Engineers to the
Town including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Giacorp
Contracting Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that the contractors have duly
executed the contract documents and supplied the necessary Performance Bond, Payment Bond and
provided insurance certificates as required by the bid specifications.
