2022-170 2022-170 Resolution Appointing Full-Time Account Clerk In Comptroller Department At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on December 12, 2022. WHEREAS, the position of Full-Time Account Clerk is a Competitive Civil Service position and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources provided a certified of list of eligible candidates; and WHEREAS, the Comptroller has canvassed the list and interviewed candidates for the Account Clerk Position and determined that Julian Price is reachable on the list and meets the minimum qualifications for the position and is the best candidate for the position and he recommends that the Town Board appoint him to the position of Full-Time Account Clerk; and WHEREAS, the position of Full-Time Account Clerk is part of the Collective Bargaining Unit and is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and Teamsters Local 445 ("CBA"). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The Town Board hereby appoints Julian Price to the position of Full-Time Account Clerk on a permanent basis. 2. The appointment of Julian Price is effective December 13, 2022. 3. Julian Price shall be compensated at the hourly rate of$22.39 for 35 hours per week which shall be paid out of budget line A.1315.102 in weekly installments in accordance with the CBA. 4. The appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. 5. The appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. 6. All necessary documentation for the appointment shall be filed with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
