2024-662024-66 Resolution Promoting Employee To Junior Accountant At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February 12, 2024. WHEREAS, Graceanna Overton has been employed in the Comptroller's Office as a full-time provisional Account Clerk, and WHEREAS, the Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini and Town Comptroller Jessica Servidio advises that Ms. Overton exhibits an excellent work ethic and eagerness to learn and she is an asset to the operation and function of the Town government, and WHEREAS, the Town has identified the Junior Accountant position to best place Ms. Overton as a part of the restructuring of the Comptroller's Office, and WHEREAS, the full time Junior Accountant position is a competitive position under Civil Service Law which is subject to competitive examination, and WHEREAS, the full-time Junior Accountant position is a confidential appointment and is not subject to the terms of any Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and its Collective Bargaining units, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. Graceanna Overton is hereby appointed to the full-time civil service job title Junior Accountant, effective January 22, 2024. 2. Graceanna Overton shall be retroactively compensated at the salary of $70,000.00 for the 2024 fiscal year which shall be paid in bi-weekly installments. 3. The appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. The appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
