SECTION 1. Legislative Intent
Itis the intention of the Town Board of the Tawe of Wapni.nger in the interest
of the public health, welfare and safety of the people of the Town of
Wappinger to restrict parking on certain parts of Ervin Drive and Blackthorn
Loop in the Town of Wappinger, so as to prevent any obstruction to the normal
and regular flow on traffic along Ervin Drive and Blackthorn Loop.
SECTION 2. Parking Restricted
Parking or standing of automobiles, cars, trucks, motorcycles and other motor
vehicles shall be prohibited along the most southerly, most easterly and most
westerly outer perimeteres of Ervin Drive and Blackthorn Loop in the Town of
Wappinger at the following times: on Mondays through Fridays only between the
hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. from January 1st through June 30th, and £roan
September lst to December 31st in each year, except legal holidays as defined
by the General Construction Law.
SECTION 3. Signs
The Highway Superintendent of the Town of Wappinger is hereby directed to install
appropriate signs indicating that there shall be "No Parking" in the designated area.
SECTION 4. Violations
The owner of any vehicle which is found to be parked or standing in a "No Parking"
zone as enumerated above, shall be guilty of a violation and shall be subject to a
fine in a sum not to exceed $50.00.
SECTION 5. Effective Date
If
This Local Law shall take effect imnediately upon adoption and filing as provided
by the Municipal Hone Rule Law.
