2008-2232008-223 Resolution to Adjust Town of Wappinger Mileage Reimbursement Rates for 2008 At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 23, 2008. The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor Councilmembers ABSENT: Christopher J. Colsey William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina Joseph P. Paoloni Maureen McCarthy The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by Councilman Paoloni. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger regularly compensates employees for the use of their personal vehicles in activities consistent within the scope of their employment on a reimbursement basis; and WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service has adjusted the allowable reimbursement rate to 50.5 cents per mile for business miles driven, as referenced in IRS Bulletin IR -2007-192, Nov. 27, 2007. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the allowable mileage reimbursement rate to 50.5 cents per mile for business miles driven.
