I would appreciate your reviewing my comments and consider amending your local law if you believe my comments have merit. 1 know the elected officials are concerned about keeping taxes in check and maintaining our tax base. Private sector jobs, clean industries and tourism are crucial to the economy of the Hudson Valley and the Town of Wappinger. With that theme I recognize the need for regulations that foster these objectives while maintening standards for our residents and businesses. I offer the following recommendations for consideration: Section 3: Zoning Amendments 2. A. many historic homes are NOT on two acres i.e. Heugont Homes in Kingston. This section should be eliminated. 2.C. The requirements to be listed on the state/federal National Historic Register are far more restrictive than any town law, therefore there should not be any regulation of the exterior appearance of the home.(a client of mine spent in excess of $35,000 to paint the exterior of their National Historic Registered home. 2.D. The number of persons assembling in the house should not exceed the fire -rated occupancy as determined by the Fire inspector and included in the resolution approved by the Planning Board. 2.E. this paragraph should be eliminated see 2.D. above 2.l.any and all amplified speaking and/or music must conform to the Town of Wappinger Noise Ordinance. Planning Board requirements must NOT compromise the National Register Designation Le additional landscaping etc. 2.K. All signage shall conform to the Town of Wappinger Sign Ordinance or per the Planning Board Resolution. 2.L. Parking shall be provided as set forth in Article X or as determined by the Planning Board. 2.M.Eliminate (see 2.L. above) 2.N. Eliminate 1 think these amendments would have the desired results and achieve our mutual goals. I hope my suggestions are helpful. 1 i Jun Visconti
