Resolution Authorizing Employee Vacation Rollover Request
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on December
8, 2008.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by
Councilwoman McCarthy.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Personnel Manual states that 15 unused vacation
days can be carried over to the following year by any non-union employee; and
WHEREAS, due to the demands of Barbara Roberti's job, she has not used all of her
vacation time in excess of the 15 authorized carry over days; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Roberti, in a letter dated November 19th, 2008, has requested that
her 8 excess days, in addition to the allowable 15 carryover days, totaling 23 carryover days, be
carried over to calendar year 2009, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes Barbara Roberti's request that a total of 23
days be carried over to calendar year 2009.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

I began this calendar year with 30 vacation days. To date I have only used 7 of these vacation days.
Primarily this is due to the fact that for a major portion of this year I have earned comp time for working the
evening meetings for the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
As you are all aware, this time must be taken first and foremost and therefore prevented me from using up
the vacation time afforded me. In addition to the above, I still have 4.5 personal days, these I plan to use in the
coming weeks prior to the end of the year.
I respectfully ask the board to allow me to carry the excess 8 days to 2009. I realize that you, the Town Board
allow a 15 day carryover of vacation time and I ask for all 23 days to be carried over into the new year. I
appreciate your attention to this matter.
