2009-0392009-39 Resolution Authorizing the Town of Wappinger to Execute the State of New York Grant Agreement in Connection with the Greenway Trail Renovations and Improvements At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 12, 2009. The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey Councilmembers - William H. Beale Maureen McCarthy Joseph P. Paoloni ABSENT: Vincent F. Bettina The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by Councilman Beale. WHEREAS, the State of New York has the authority to regulate and provide funding for the establishment and operation of program services and desires to contract with skilled parties possessing the necessary resources to provide such services; and WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is ready, willing and able to provide such program services and possesses or can make available all necessary qualified personnel, licenses, facilities and expertise to perform or have performed the services required to the terms of the State of New York Grant Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger has received a special grant in the amount of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) in the 2008-2009 New York State Budget towards the Greenway Trail renovations and improvements; and WHEREAS, there are specific requirements and regulations governing the expenditure of these funds which terms are stated in the State of New York Grant Agreement, a copy of which is affixed hereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby directs that the administration of all funds under this grant will be in accordance with all the terms and conditions contained in "GUIDELINES to prepare Grant Agreements for non -construction projects $50,000 and under - Fiscal Year 2008 - 2009," provided by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and this Resolution. 3. The Supervisor of the Town, Christopher J. Colsey, is hereby directed and authorized to sign legal documents on behalf of the Town of Wappinger and that such signature is acknowledgment of the acceptance by this body of compliance with all terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement to be executed for the grant, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
