Resolution for Recreation to Purchase Clay for the Robinson Lane Recreation Complex
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 23,
2009.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, Town of Wappinger Recreation Chairman, Ralph Holt, has submitted a
written request, dated March 17, 2009, for the purchase of twenty-five (25) tons of Beam Clay
for the Robinson Lane Complex at the cost of Two Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars
and 00/100 ($2,625.00); and
WHEREAS, Partac Peat is a sole source provider of Beam Clay within the reasonable
delivery area of the Town of Wappinger as verified by the Recreation Chairman, as further
verified within the memo of March 17, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of
Wappinger hereby authorizes the purchase of twenty-five (25) tons of Beam Clay for the
Robinson Lane Complex at the cost of Two Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars and
00/100 ($2,625.00) from Budget Line A-7110.431.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

RE: REQUEST FOR P.O. TO PURCHASE BALL FIELD CLAY
In our ongoing effort to upgrade our fields at Robinson Lane, and to keep them safe, the
Recreation Commission requests permission to purchase a lead (approximately 25 tons)
of the better high quality Beam Clay offered by Partac Peat at a cost of $2,625 delivered.
The money for this request can be found in Recreation Acct. # A-7110.431. This is a
better quality clay which lasts the whole season and is not carried by Southern Industrial
Sand.
