RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR
HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT SUPPLIES
At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on the 24th
day of March, 2003, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by

and seconded by
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster,
solicited bids for the supply of various Highway Department materials; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and reviewed by Town of Wappinger Highway
Superintendent, Graham Foster; and
WHEREAS, Town of Wappinger Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, has
provided an award recommendation to the Town Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Contract for the supply of
Unleaded Plus gasoline for the Highway Department is hereby awarded to Agway Energy
Products, LLC at a price per gallon of $.0895 plus the amount published in the Journal of

Commerce New York Harbor Reseller Tank Car as the average price posted on the day of
delivery; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for the supply of No. 2 Fuel Oil and
Diesel Fuel is hereby awarded to Morgan Bottini Fuel Co. for the price per gallon for No. 2 Fuel
Oil of .0745 and Diesel Fuel of $.0745 plus the amount published in the Journal of Commerce
New York Harbor Reseller Tank Car as the average price posted on the day of delivery; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for Run of Bank Gravel be awarded
to West Hood Sand & Gravel, at the delivered price of $11.50 per ton, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for 1/4' washed gravel be awarded to
Clove Excavators, at the delivered price of $14.50 per ton, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for 3/8", 3/4" and 11/2" Washed
Gravel be awarded to Westhook Sand & Gravel, at a delivered price of $10.50, $11.25, and
$11.25 per ton, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for tailings be awarded to Westhook
at a delivered price of $10.25 per ton, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for Quarry Item Four be awarded to
Clove Excavators at a delivered price of $15.00, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for Snow/Ice Aggregates be
awarded to Clove Excavators at a delivered price of $11.20 per ton, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for the supply of 1/4", crushed stone
to the Highway Department is hereby awarded to Clove Excavators, Inc. at the delivered price of
$14.50 per ton; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for the supply of 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 2
t/2" crushed stone to the Highway Department is hereby awarded to Tilcon at the delivered price
of $14.00 and $14.75 per ton; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that blacktop needed by the Highway Department will
be purchased through the New York State Office of General Services Bid; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pipe needed by the Highway Department will be
purchased through the New York State Office of General Services Bid; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for Bulk Pick up will be awarded to
Royal Carting, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for road striping be awarded to
Safety Marketing at a cost of $215, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for sander is hereby awarded to
Chemung at a cost of $4,774, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for the 12,000 GVWR 4WD Dump
Truck be awarded to Poughkeepsie Chevrolet at a cost of $32,680, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for 40,000 GVWR 4WD Dump
Truck be awarded to Healy International at a cost of $58,587, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for the Dump Body be awarded to
Hudson River Truck at a cost of $4,385, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for Plow and Body be awarded to
Dutchess Diesels at a cost of $38,780, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contract for supply of catch basins to the
Highway Department is hereby awarded as follows:
