Resolution Naming a Private Road in the Gigliotti II Subdivision
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 13, 2009.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by Councilman
Beale.
WHEREAS, there is a private road located in the Gigliotti II Subdivision, on NYS Route 376, in
the Town of Wappinger without an authorized name; and
WHEREAS, it is important to establish a name for this road in order to ensure an efficient
process for emergency response personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant, through his engineer has proposed the name of "Julia's Way" for this
private road; and
WHEREAS, Jim Tompkins, Program Assistant for Dutchess County Emergency Response, has
determined that there are no conflicts with the name "Julia's Way", as established through a memo dated
June 17, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Fire Prevention Bureau has determined that there are no
conflicts with the name "Julia's Way" as established through a memo dated June 22, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board authorizes formally naming the
private road located in the Gigliotti II Subdivision, on NYS Route 376, in the Town of Wappinger as
"Julia's Way."
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

reference to the private road proposed for the Gigliotti II Subdivision
The proposed road name is
JULIA'S WAY
The Dutchess 911 addressing unit has approved these names per attached memo dated
6/17/09 , as submitted by applicant's engineer, M.Gillespie &. Associates.
I have also reviewed this proposed name and find no conflicts with in the Town.
Please place the above on the next available Town Board agenda for Town Board approval.
A copy of the resolution must be forwarded to Dutchess 911 addressing unit.

regarding the proposed street name for the Gigliotti II subdivision. Ms. Bombardieri has
submitted the following suggested name:
Julia's Way
Our office has reviewed the above road name and did not find any conflicts. Upon
approval of the street name, please provide a copy of the resolution. If you have any
