2005-172r RESOLUTION 2005-172 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMTEK'S PROPOSAL TO CREATE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL PROGRAM At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on the 12`h of December, at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor - Councilmembers- ABSENT: Joseph Ruggiero Robert L. Valdati Vincent F. Bettina Joseph P. Paoloni Maureen McCarthy The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Paoloni Ms. McCart and seconded by WHEREAS, the Town Board has expressed an interest in creating performance appraisal program for the employees of the Town of Wappinger, , and WHEREAS, Amtek Human Resource Consultants has offered a proposal to create performance appraisal program at a cost of Four -Thousand dollars and 00/100 ($4000.00) plus Two -Hundred and 00/100 dollars ($200.00) for each additional position, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1.The recitations above forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board authorizes Amtek Human Resource Consultants to create a performance appraisal program for the Employees of the Town of Wappinger at a cost of Four -Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($4000.00) plus Two -Hundred and 00/100 dollars ($200.00) for each additional position. RSTE�RSON�,TO`WNCL�ERK� t PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL PROGRAM SCOPE OF SERVICES AMTEK Human Resource Consultants will work with Town officials_ and management staff to develop and implement a Performance Appraisal Program. The specific services to be provided by AMTEK include the following: Assist the Town in establishing the goals and objectives of the Performance Appraisal Program, (e.g. appraise past performance, determine merit raises, increase productivity). 2. Integrate the Performance Appraisal Program with administrative operations, (i.e. determine when evaluations will occur, who will conduct them, and how frequently). Assist the Town in determining the focus of the program (i.e. essential job functions, performance standards, goals and objectives, individual results and accomplishments, and knowledge and skills). 4. Develop the performance rating system. Design the performance evaluation tools. Introduce the Performance Appraisal Program to Town employees. Conduct necessary training on how to effectively evaluate employees. FEE FOR SERVICES The fee for the development of the Town of Wappinger's Performance Appraisal Program shall be$200 per position. The estimated cost for the development of the Performance Appraisal Program is $4,000. The Town will be responsible for reimbursing AMTEK for any travel expenses directly related to providing services detailed in this proposal. The mileage rate that will be charged shall be in accordance with the current mileage rate allowed by the Internal Revenue Service at the time travel takes place.
