Resolution Authorizing Change Order No. 1 for Highway Services Garage HVAC Project
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 9, 2009.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by Councilman
Beale.
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC,
have approved Change Order No. 1 to the Contract for Highway Services Garage HVAC Project as per
letter dated October 29, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby approves Change Order No. 1 in the amount of Three
Thousand, Two Hundred Eight Dollars and 50/100 ($3,208.50), dated October 27, 2009,
for Highway Services Garage HVAC Project Contract between the Town of Wappinger
and Airflow Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating, Inc., resulting in a new Contract
sum in the amount of Two Hundred Forty -Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Fifty -Eight
Dollars and 50/100 ($243,858.50), for the reasons and associated costs set forth in the letter
dated October 29, 2009, from Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC, a copy of
which is affixed hereto.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Addition of Fire Door
Change Order #1
Dear Mr. Colsey and Town Board Members:
Enclosed please find a copy of Change Order #1. The purpose of this change order is to install
an additional fire door between the Highway Superintendents office and the garage area. Presently a non
fire rated door exists and was scheduled to be removed and closed up using concrete masonry units.
The Highway Superintendent has requested this doorway remain, necessitating the change order to
install a 3 -hour fire rated door. We requested the contractor, Airflow Air Conditioning, Refrigeration &
Heating, Inc. to provide the cost to provide and install the door for an additional $3,208.50. This amount
includes a credit for the concrete masonry units that will not be installed. Therefore, the new contract
total will be $243,858.50 ($240,650.00 + $3,208.50 = $243,858.50).
Please place this on the agenda for the November 9, 2009 Town Board Meeting for approval .of
Change Order #'1.
