A Special Town Board Meeting was held on February 19, 2000 at the town
hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York. The purpose of the
meeting is to submit alternate sites for the proposed Group Home.
Supervisor Smith opened the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
Present:
Constance Smith, Supervisor
Robert Valdati, Councilman
Vincent Bettina, Councilman
Joseph Paoloni, Councilman
Others Present:
Al Roberts, Attorney to the Town
Jay Paggi, Engineer to the Town
Absent:
Joseph Ruggiero, Councilman.
Supervisor Smith announced that Mr. Ruggiero was stranded in a snow
storm in White Plains.
The Special Meeting was held due to the Town's deadline of February 21st to
submit alternate sites for the proposed Group Home, and due to the fact that
many of the Town Board members were leaving the next day to attend the
Association of Towns. There was a lengthy discussion between the Board
Members and the many residents that were present. Three alternate sites
were discussed.
SUPERVISOR SMITH moved to send the following alternative sites for the
proposed Group Home to RSS:
130 River Road North
115 River Road North
568 Route 9D
Seconded by Mr. Bettina
Motion Unanimously Carried
There was no other business to come before the Board.
COUNCILMAN BETTINA moved to close the Special Town Board Meeting,
seconded by Mr. Paoloni and unanimously carried.
The Special Meeting closed at 12:30 p.m.
