Resolution Authorizing Comptroller to Attend Conference
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on
September 25th, 2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Valdati.
WHEREAS, Jean Gallucci, Town of Wappinger Comptroller, has requested that she be
authorized to attend the New York State GFOA Seminar and Workshop on October 13th, 2006,
in Eastchester, New York, and
WHEREAS, Jean Gallucci has requested that Inez Maldonado be authorized to attend
the Internal Control's Workshop to be held on October 25th, 2006, in Kingston, New York.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Jean Gallucci, Town of Wappinger
Comptroller, is hereby authorized to attend the New York State GFOA Seminar and Workshop
on October 13th, 2006, in Eastchester, New York at cost not to exceed Seventy Dollars and
00/100 ($70.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Inez Maldonado is hereby authorized to attend the
Internal Control's Workshop to be held on October 25th, 2006, in Kingston, New York at a cost
not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($300.00).
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

I would like to request authorization for myself to attend the New York State
Government Finance Officers' Association Fall Seminar to be held on October 13, 2006
in Eastchester, New York at a cost of $70.00. The topics to be covered include the new
state procurement lobbying act and GASB 45 implementation.
I would also like to request authorization for myself and Inez Maldonado to attend the
organization's Internal Controls Workshop to be held on October 25, 2006 in Kingston,
New York at a cost of $300.00. The program will provide an overview of the five core
standards of internal controls and best practices. The overall benefit to the Town of Ms.
Maldonado's attendance will be better control and substantiation in the administration of
the escrow accounts.
