1970-02-17RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUPERVISOR
TO EXECUTE LAND FILL AGREEMENT
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman
�"As who moved its adoption:
WHEREAS the Incorporated Village of Wappingers Falls, the
Town of Wappinger, the Town of Poughkeepsie and the City of
Poughkeepsie have previously negotiated pursuant to Article 5G
of the General Municipal Law for the purposes of jointly operati
a land fill at the Dutchess County Airport and
WHEREAS an agreement has been reached as to the terms a
conditions pursuant to which land fill will be operated and
WHEREAS said agreement contemplates that the land fill
operation will be self-sustaining by reason of the fees to be
charged for the use thereof and
WHEREAS the agreement further provides for the reimburse-
ment to the Town of Wappinger of its capital expenditures to date
in the sum of $6,200.00, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the supervisor is hereby authorized
and directed to execute the attached agreement between the Incor-
porated Village of Wappingers Falls, the Town of Wappinger, the
Town of Poughkeepsie and the City of Poughkeepsie on behalf of th
Town of Wappinger, and he is further
AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED to execute on behalf of the Town
of Wappinger the atte.ched agreement between the Countv of DutLches:s,
the Town of Wappinger, the Village of Wappingers F_lls, the Town
of Poughkeepsie and the City of Poughkeepsie which agreement pro-
vides for and the leasing of said land site.
