RESOLUTION NO. 26 2002
TOWN BOARD, TOWN OF WAPPINGER
DESIGNATING INSURANCE AGENT
FOR THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER
The following Resolution was offered by COUNCILMAN BETTINA who
moved its adoption:
RESOLVED, that Marshall & Sterling, a general insurance agent
doing business in the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York be
and it hereby is designated as the Insurance Agent for this Town.
Seconded by Mr. Colsey
Supervisor Ruggiero informed that Board that he was notified during the
last week prior to taking office, that the Town's insurance was about to
expire. Jack Peluse contacted the insurance company to make sure we were
covered. After speaking to other Supervisors, Mr. Ruggiero was informed
that there were ways to go out to bid for insurance to save the Town money,
which he wishes to pursue, but he did not want our insurance to lapse. Mr.
Peluse assured him that he has renewed the insurance and within the next
few months we can discuss going out to bid.
